Candayce O became a Shampoo Technician in Petersburg Virginia during the summer of 1998. During her tenure as a Shampoo Technician, Candayce O became the mentee of Shelda Terrangi. Eventually, Shelda would take Candayce O to Platform Artistry training on Dudley Products. Upon Candayce O’s first visit, she was so impressed by creative presentations from each professional hairstylist that she decided at that very moment she would also aspire to be the best hairstylist she could be. Shelda Terrangi continued to mentor Candayce O until she graduated high school in 2001. After high school graduation, Candayce O enrolled in Dudley Cosmetology University (DCU), located in Kernersville, North Carolina. Candayce O graduated from DCU in 2002. While Candayce O was attending DCU, she was introduced to Patric Bradley and Kay Simpson, along with other phenomenal Dudley educators.

After graduating from DCU, Candayce O went back for advanced education classes such as Master Cutting I and II; taught by Amos Jordan and Patric Bradley. To strengthen her skillset, Candayce O has taken Color and Cut Connect at Wella in New York City and other educational opportunities with companies such as Bumble and Bumble, Sebastian, and Farouk. In the spirit of versatility, CandayceO did not want to solely specialize in hair care for African American hair; therefore, in 2006 she went to work at Nesbit Salon in Richmond, Virginia. It was at this salon where Candayce O cutting and color skills were fine-tuned and she became well versed in multicultural hairstyles. At Nesbit Salon, Candayce O was one of the highest producing professional hairstylists. It was one of the greatest experiences in her career. In 2008, Alfaparf Milano requested Candayce O expertise to be a color educator for their hair education programs. In 2013, I resigned from Alfaparf Milano and joined Patric Bradley’s Team Hollywood.

Candayce O has been an educator at the Orlando Premiere Show, Houston Image Expo, as well as large symposiums. Candayce O frequently conducts look and learn classes to educate other stylists and hair designers as well.
